Our Organic Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil is steam distilled from certified organic ylang ylang flowers, Cananga odorata. As with all of our organic ingredients, it is certified organic by CCOF.

The ylang ylang tree, sometimes also known as the cananga tree is a tree that grows in tropical climates. The vivid yellow blooms are quite unique in appearance and are highly aromatic. Although the tree goes by both the common names of Ylang Ylang and Cananga, essential oil that is commonly referred to as Cananga Essential Oil is typically less preferred and generally differs in aroma and composition.

Because of its great use in perfumery applications, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is traditionally distilled for varying lengths to produce essential oils with differing constituents and aromatic profiles. For example, our Organic Ylang Ylang Extra Essential Oil is the essential oil that is collected shortly after the distillation begins. It is most widely used in fragrancing applications. Additional distillations known as Ylang Ylang I, II and III are also sometimes performed, depending on the distiller and the application.

Our Organic Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil is the essential oil that results from a full, uninterrupted distillation. Aromatically, it possesses a beautifully exotic, floral aroma with slightly woody characteristics.

Emotionally, Organic Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil is an uplifting essential oil that can help to support a positive mindset. It is a beautiful essential oil to add to formulations intended to dissipate fear and anger, support confidence and encourage positive thinking. It also has a reputation for acting as an aphrodisiac.

Within skin care applications, Organic Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil helps to support healthy skin. It can help to balance skin that may be too dry or oily, and it can be used in a facial toner to balance oily skin.

Organic Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil is a beautiful floral essential oil that appeals to both genders. It is wonderful to incorporate into personal care, aromatherapy, and natural fragrancing applications. It blends well with clary sage, rosewood, bergamot, vetiver, sandalwood, orange, mandarin and many other essential oils for truly exotic blends.

Organic Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil is very aromatic and a little can go a long way in your aromatherapy and personal care formulations. For topical formulations intended for adults, Essential Oil Safety Edition 2 by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young recommend a dermal maximum of 0.8%. Do not use with children under age 2.

Comments: All the oils were of wonderful quality. I just didn't realize they'd come without Orifice Reducers or droppers. My daughter accidentally knocked one over and half the oil spilled out.

FNWL Response: Hi Sharina, It sounds like you are most familiar with essential oils packaged for consumer use. Essential oils, regardless of cap type, should never be left around children, most especially when left open. We are a wholesale company. Although we are happy to sell to end users, most of our customers are artisans and manufacturers. Most of our customers do not need orifice reducer tops. It would unnecessarily raise packaging costs for all those that don't need it. Rubber dropper tops should never be used to store pure essential oils. Essential oils are concentrated and can eat the rubber (and ruin the purity of the oil in the process). Look in our Packaging section for different pipettes that can be used when you need to dispense our essential oils by the drop.
