Our Pink Peppercorn Essential Oil is a clear oil that is steam distilled from peppercorns harvested from Schinus molle, an evergreen that is native to Peru. Pink peppercorns resemble black peppercorns in size, but have a beautiful, pinkish-red hue and a wonderfully spicy-peppery aroma.

Botanically, Black Pepper (Piper nigrum) and Pink Pepper Schinus molle are very different, but they both share some common applications ane benefits. Our Pink Pepper Essential Oil possesses approximately 80% monoterpenes including a-Phellandrene, Myrcene, Limonene, B-Phellandrene and a-Pinene. In comparison, Black Pepper Essential Oil tends to only contain approximately 50-60% monoterpenes.

It is a middle note that can add a beautiful and distinctive characteristic to aromatic formulations. It acts as a wonderful bridge between top and base notes, and it blends wonderfully with most all other essential oils including but not limited to those within the floral, wood, citrus, spice, root, mint and resin families.
