Our Organic Spearmint Essential Oil is steam distilled from the leaves of certified organic spearmint, Mentha spicata. As with all of our organic ingredients, it is certified organic by CCOF.

With a slightly milder, sweeter aroma that some individuals prefer over peppermint, Organic Spearmint Essential Oil, can be a wonderfully invigorating oil to include in formulations.

Organic Spearmint Essential Oil helps to support healthy digestion and breathing and brings comfort to those with headaches. Within skin care applications, Organic Spearmint Essential Oil is a wonderful essential oil to include in formulations intended to invigorate the mind and refresh the skin and hair.

Organic Spearmint Oil can increase alertness and focus, and it can lift the spirit. Like lavender, however, Organic Spearmint Essential Oil can also be used sparingly at bedtime to bring about a sense of calm and relaxation.

Aromatically, Organic Spearmint Oil is a top note. It possesses a beautiful minty aroma with subtle fruity characteristics. Spearmint Essential Oil blends well with essential oils of lavender, jasmine, bergamot, orange and sandalwood.

For topical formulations intended for adults, Essential Oil Safety Edition 2 by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young recommend a dermal maximum of 1.7% for Organic Spearmint Essential Oil.
