Reviewed By: Nancy Posted: Monday, May 16, 2011 Location: Davis, CA Comments: I bought this oil instead of the jasmine fragrance oil because I realized that I should not be using synthetic products on my skin and instead of the jasmine absolute because I could not afford the absolute. It would be wonderful if they can sell it in even smaller portions, but I know 1/8 fl.oz is already a really small bottle I expected it to be strong but not so strong that I would be able to smell it once I opened my package, which was a nice surprise. However, I don't think the scent necessarily smells bad but it's not good too. I went around asking all my friends what they thought about it. And everyone of them didn't like it, and a few mentioned that it reminded them of their grandparents. So maybe this scent is for someone older than my generation, but certainly not for me. And now I don't know what I want to do with the oil FNWL Response: Nancy, essential oils are highly concentrated. Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is especially strong aromatically, and is best used extremely well diluted. A little goes a long way. Smelling it straight out of the bottle can be quite a potent experience. Try blending it with other essential oils for a remarkable blend. Try blending just a hint of ylang ylang with orange, mandarin or tangerine essential oils. We are a wholesaler not a retailer, so although we do offer several sizes so that an ingredient can be tried at small sizes first, we sell mostly to artisans and manufacturers that buy in bulk, so it isn't reasonable for us to sell incredibly tiny sizes.
