Organic Sunflower Lecithin

Add to Personalized Shopping List

Lecithin is a naturally occurring group of phospholipids that can be found in plants and animal cells. It has been used in the food and cosmetic industry as a lipophilic emulsifier and thickener. Organic Sunflower Lecithin is highly nutritive for the skin and hair.

Organic Sunflower Lecithin is best used in heavier, creamier formulations and can be used with a combination of beeswax and borax. Use Organic Sunflower Lecithin at 1-4% to keep your formulations from becoming too heavy and greasy.

Our Organic Sunflower Lecithin is naturally derived from certified organic sunflower oil and is not bleached. This product is useful as an organic co-emulsifier for emulsions. It is deep brown in color, thick at room temperature and possesses a characteristic nutty aroma.

As with all of our organic products, our Organic Sunflower Lecithin is non-GMO and is certified organic by CCOF.
