The Amaranthus, Amaranthus caudatus is a flowering plant that is also known as Love-Lies-Bleeding because its beautiful purple-red flowers droop downwards. This intriguing annual plant grows in South America and tropical areas worldwide. The plant has a fascinating history, and the seeds and leaves have been used since ancient times for culinary, medicinal and topical applications.
Organic Amaranth Seed CO2 Total Extract is a beautiful extract that is comprised mostly of Linoleic Acid, a beneficial polyunsaturated fatty acid. The extract is also abundant in monounsaturated fatty acids, squalene, plant sterols and tocopherols. It is remarkably helpful in maintaining healthy skin, supporting skin elasticity, soothing problem skin, minimizing the appearance of wrinkles and supporting those with maturing skin.
The extract is pale to medium yellow in color and possesses a characteristic, herbal aroma. It is fluid at room temperature and absorbs well.
