Our Clear Coconut Melt and Pour Soap Base is an ultra clear vegetable glycerin melt and pour soap base.

Melt & Pour Soap Bases are easy to work with, but it is important that you use care when heating them. We recommend using a double boiler to gently heat the base, and stir frequently. Don't leave the base heating on the stove after it's fully melted or it may dry out and form a skin.

Comments: I am a vegetarian and so I appreciate that this soap is made from a vegetable base, not animal fats. It's easy to use but I find that it leaves a waxy feel on your skin after washing when the skin is still wet. However, the waxy feel goes away when the skin is dry and is a wonderfully moisturizing soap.

FNWL Response: That's a really interesting observation Alison! I use soaps that I make from our M&P bases on a nearly daily basis and haven't noticed a waxy feel myself. I wonder if the way that you heat the base (double boiler is recommended) or the duration that it's heated (please don't overcook it) or any other additives that you include in your soap may be contributing.
