Our premium quality Sage Antioxidant CO2 Extract with 23% DTP has been produced from the leaves of Greek Sage, Salvia triloba.
Our Sage Antioxidant CO2 Extract acts as a natural antioxidant suitable for use in beauty, cosmetic and personal care applications. It is carefully produced from Greek Sage leaves that possess a high concentration of diterpene phenols. The leaves are extracted using CO2 supercritical fluid extraction and a trace amount of ethanol (less than 0.5% ethanol remains in the finished product). This extraction method results in a superior quality natural extract that maintains the most beneficial properties of Greek Sage including a high concentration of carnosic acid/diterpene phenols. This method is also ideal for maintaining the natural integrity of our extract because other extraction methods commonly use synthetic chemicals that can remain within the final product. Organic Sunflower Oil is added to standardize the extract. After production, our Sage Antioxidant CO2 Extract is carefully packaged and stored to maintain its purity and ensure optimal shelf life.
Sage Antioxidant CO2 Extract possesses a softer aroma than our selection of Rosemary Antioxidant CO2 Extracts. It is ideally suited for consideration when the aroma of a Rosemary Antioxidant may not be desirable in your formulation.
