Sangre de Drago Liquid Resin Extract, also known as Dragons Blood, is extracted from medium/large tropical trees that thrive within the Amazonian regions of South America. When the trunk of the tree is cut or wounded, it exudes a dark, red, resinous sap that resembles blood. The curative powers of the thick resin and tree bark are well known by indigenous tribes of Mexico, Peru and Ecuador. They painted the sap onto their skin to help stop bleeding, protect wounds and promote healing. The antiseptic sap dries quickly, forming a seal over wounded skin, preventing infection and allowing the skin to heal. In tribal medicine, the Sangre De Drago sap was used both externally and also internally, to heal wounds, stomach ulcers, throat infections, mouth ulcers, skin afflictions and insect bites. The sap is also believed to be useful as an anti-herpes agent. These ethnomedical applications of the sap have been confirmed by both in-vitro and in-vivo studies.

The wound healing capabilities of Sangre De Drago Liquid Resin Extract are attributed to its active constituents: proanthocyanadins (antioxidants), a lignan called dimethylcedrusine, and an alkaloid called taspine. Taspine has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, anti-sarcomic, anti-viral, anti-tumor and cicatrizing properties. Studies have also shown that Sangre de Drago Resin can help contract a wound, form a crust at the wound site, assist in the formation of collagen and regenerate skin cells.

This unique combination of anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and cicatrizing properties make the resin an exceptional ingredient in formulations intended for healing skin abrasions, wounds, burns, eczema and rashes.

Our premium quality Sangre de Drago Liquid Resin Extract is carefully sourced and packaged to maintain the purity, freshness and beneficial properties of this highly nutritive and aromatic fluid resin.

Comments: It's kind of dark purple liquid. I used it in face care formulations. Liquid resin, not oil.

Comments: A treasure from the rainforest. Clots bleeding at small cuts or scratches, then seals them with thin film. Stops tick and mosquito bite itch. Encourages healing. This will be a staple of my summer first aid kit.

Customer Testimonial

"Each time I use your Web site, I am thrilled with how complex and thorough the information is and yet how intuitive and simple the site is to use. I do the majority of my shopping online and work as part of a huge global company's knowledge distribution arm, so I review and use lots of sites. The FNWL site is the best I have encountered from a consumer prospective. It must take an incredible amount of resources to maintain and I just want to say thank you for going to that level of effort! I have learned so much from reading the detailed product information and loved the items I've purchased. Thank you!"
