Within aromatherapy work, Organic Basil Essential Oil, Ocimum basilicum, is said to aid in formulations intended to assist with fatigue, depression, headaches, head congestion, menstrual cycle regulation, migraines and muscular aches and pains. Organic Basil Essential Oil is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-spasmodic. It is also a beneficial component in insect repellent formulations. Organic Basil Essential Oil blends nicely with rosemary and citrus oils, especially lime. When fragrancing skin care products for men, consider using a touch of basil.

Do not use Organic Basil Essential Oil if you are pregnant or have a seizure disorder. Use sparingly on the skin because it can cause irritation.
