Milk PowdersOur milk powders are wonderful to use when making soothing and nourishing milk baths. Our buttermilk, goat's milk and whole milk powders can be used alone or combined in your favorite milk bath recipe. Ideas for additives that can used in your milk baths are Vitamin E oil, oatmeal powder, powdered herbs, and honey powder. Add milk powders to soap and toiletries to give your products a creamy texture and additional moisturizing properties. Our milk powders can be used in soap, creams, lotions, herbal milk baths, washbags, facial cleansers and masks. For soap making, the normal dilution rate is 4 tablespoons of milk powder per cup of liquid. Milk powders can be doubled to 8 tablespoons per cup of liquid to make it extra creamy and add extra fat. To prevent curdling in cold process soap making, chill your milk powder mixture. To use milk powders in melt & pour soap making, measure out 1 tablespoon of powder per pound of soap. Make a thick paste with a small amount of water. Add the mixture to your melted base, and stir to incorporate. Milk powders possesses a slight milky odor that can be masked with the addition of essential oils, CO2 extracts or fragrance oils.
