Summary:
Bath salts that soothe the skin as well as a tired mind! Smells lovely and is 100% natural!
Ingredients:
1 cup of your preferred salts relatively coarse salts: epsom, sea salt, Dead Sea salts, etc.
3 tsp. dendritic salt
2 tsp. borax
1 - 2 tsp. liquid glycerin
12 drops alkanet-infused almond oil or infuse it in any other non-greasy oil by heating them up in a double boiler and straining through a tea bag or coffee filter
1/8 tsp jojoba oil
15 drops ylang ylang essential oil
10 drops lavender essential oil
Instructions:
Mix the salt, borax, and dendritic salt in a bowl. Add the alkanet-infused oil and mix well at this point. It gets a little clumpy with each new addition, so I put on non-latex gloves to mix them by hand. Then mix in the jojoba. Add the essential oils and the glycerin. It will completely change the consistency and turn it really soft, make everything sparkle just a little, and add some extra moisture to the bath.
The alkanet root powder turns the salts a beautiful powder pink colour, and even though it doesn't REALLY match the floral essential oils involved, it still had a nice general floral look to it. Use 5 - 6 spoonfuls per bath... enjoy!
