Summary:
I love lanolin and came up with this recipe that I love. It's extremely moisturizing, absorbs quickly and the softness lasts through a couple handwashings.
Ingredients:
This makes approximately 16 oz.
31.8 g mango butter
13.6 g lanolin
45.4 g sweet almond oil
22.7 g glycerin
13.6 g emulsifying wax
1.4 g citric acid
13.6 g stearic acid
300.2 g distilled water
4.5 g Germaben II
4.5-6.8 g favorite fragrance oil
Instructions:
Measure and place all ingredients, except the germaben and fragrance, into a microwavable bowl and heat just until the oils and wax melt. Blend with stick blender until well emulsified. Allow to cool (I know it is cool enough when I drop some on my hand and can't feel it). When cooled, add germaben and fragrance oil and mix well again either with a spoon or stick blender. I let it cool a little more and then pour into bottles and allow to cool completely with lid off. Have fun!
