Beeswax is a natural secretion of honey bees who feed from botanicals. Beeswax has the beautiful, sweet aroma of honey and a rich, golden color. Our beeswax is filtered to remove any impurities and then pastillated into "easy-to-use" pearls. This beeswax has a mild, sweet aroma. The color may vary from light yellow to medium brown. Use this wax in creams, lotions, balms, body butters and other formulations where rigidity or body are required. It lends emollient, softening properties to your products and works as a humectant. When added to soap, beeswax lends hardness and resistance to melting. In candle making, pure beeswax candles are a better choice for the environment than paraffin candles, and beeswax should be considered when making aromatherapy grade candles. Beeswax also acts as an emulsifier when combined in the right proportions with borax.
Note: Our current batch of Beeswax Pellets is pale creamy yellow in color.
