This is an excellent book! Great basic information for tinctures, salves, understanding plants and herbs.The folk stories add a wonderful touch and bring home the history of herbal healing. The facts are laid out simple and straight without talking down to the reader. Bound to become a well worn reference book in the library of any one with an interest in herbalism.

This is a good, easy to follow reference book. I like how the author explains putting together the herbs and what can be expected. Herbs are described in simple detail, easy to follow.

Get this book - it is very good and offers some useful info such as making herbal vinegars and wines. It also stresses safety and simpling (using and getting familiar with one herb at a time before mxing herbs). Excellent resource for all levels of experience!
